Meet Huang Zhongqin, a post-2000s technician from the Miao ethnic group in southwestern Hunan, who is quietly making his mark in the field of high-precision manufacturing.

In our precision machining workshop, Huang can often be seen intensely focused at his CNC workstation, calibrating components to within microns. His journey began in a vocational college in Zhangjiajie, where he spent countless days practicing machining programs for skills competitions. In 2019, his performance won him second prize in the Hunan Provincial Skills Competition — and an immediate offer from Truking.

Like many young professionals, Huang faced challenges early in his career. But when a critical structural deformation issue emerged during production, he volunteered to help. Drawing on his solid technical foundation and the guidance of experienced mentors, he proposed a novel process route and ultimately led the team to a successful solution.

"Solving complex problems today requires both technical skill and practical experience,” Huang says. “At Truking, we learn from each other — the young energize the experienced, and the experienced guide the young.”

Huang’s dedication has earned him rapid recognition — within just four years, he achieved a senior technical certification that typically takes a decade, and received both “Best Newcomer” and “Most Improved” honors at Truking.

Why did he choose Changsha, and why stay?

“It’s not just a job — it’s a career foundation,” he explains. “Changsha has fertile ground for intelligent manufacturing. It’s where I can grow technically and build a meaningful life.”

Today, Huang is advancing into five-axis programming while building a home in Changsha with his partner. “The city’s warmth and inclusiveness make it feel like a second hometown,” he shares. “Here, I’ve found a balance between work and life.”
